Etken maddesi vemurafenib olan ilaç, hastalara 8 ila 10 ay zaman kazandırdığı gibi, hastanın acılarını dindiriyor, enerjisini yeniden kazandırıp kendilerini iyi hissetmelerini sağlıyor. Hatta bazı deneylerde vemurafenib’in ömrü 16 aya kadar uzattığı da tespit edildi.
